A graduate of Cornell University's School of Industrial & Labor Relations - one of the foremost labor relations schools in the world - and the University of Memphis' School of Law, Lance has devoted his work life to the law of the workplace. This has included single-handedly leading labor & employment law for 2 mid-sized international companies and leading and helping to lead labor & employment law functions for 2 of the world’s largest corporations.
Over the course of his legal career, one of Lance's focuses has been on traditional labor law. He has represented and advised management clients in over 20 organizing attempts by unions, over 20 labor negotiations in multiple industries, numerous trials and investigations before the National Labor Relations Board, preparations for union strikes, court hearings involving striker misconduct, and several labor arbitration disputes.
A true “General Counsel” when it comes to labor & employment, Lance’s depth of experience goes far beyond traditional labor law – it spans many labor & employment law practice areas and other areas of the law, including, employment discrimination, wage & hour collective action defense, trade secret and unfair competition litigation, whistleblower claims, mergers & acquisitions, commercial agreements, and international labor & employment law.
